Jewellery - Is it Permissible for Men?
  • Question:

Is it permissible in Islam for a man to wear a bracelet (gold, platinum or any other metal) or to wear a ring (gold or white gold)?

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

    Thank you for your question.

According to Islamic jurists, jewelry is only to be worn by women. Men are not to wear bracelets, anklets and chains.

Silver rings are permissible for men since the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) had a sliver ring made for himself. (See: Rad al Mukhtar)

    And Allah knows best.
